Welcome
to our Spiritual Abuse Recovery website! We have developed this
website as a source for those who have experienced spiritual
abuse. This website is a safe place for victims of spiritual
abuse to find resources on spiritual abuse and discuss its
effects on their lives, regardless of what brand of religion
or creed they are/were involved in. Spiritual abuse does not respect religious or
denominational boundaries. Recovery also knows no boundaries. |
There are many websites on the Internet devoted to spiritual abuse,
but very few of them that focus on recovery. There are
also a lot of websites that offer forums for debating religious doctrines. If
you are looking for a forum to argue about religious beliefs and
doctrines, our forum is not designed for that. However, if you are
looking for a community that can help you recover from the
devastating after-effects of spiritual abuse, you are in the right
place. Just as there are hospitals for all kinds of physical and
emotional problems, this website is an "intensive care unit" for
victims of spiritual abuse.
If
you are not sure that you are now or were previously involved
in a spiritually abusive situation, feel free to take our
Spiritual Abuse
Survey. This brief survey will help you determine if your
church, sect, or group is a safe place. If you already know that you
are/were involved in a spiritually abusive situation, feel free to
browse through the resources on this website to help you begin or
further your recovery process. We recommend starting out in the
Spiritual Abuse
Recovery Articles section of the website if you are wanting to
learn more about the methods of recovering from spiritual abuse that
we promote on this website. We also invite you to visit our forum
community and our blog site.
We
believe that recovery from abuse of any kind is not a one-time event, but
rather, a lifetime process. It is our desire that this website will
help you on your road to recovery from church abuse. |
